Convert web page content to Markdown locally.

Convert the current web page, a selected passage, or one chosen element into Markdown. Copy the result, download a .md file, or open Preview to inspect the Markdown and its rendered view. Keep headings, links, lists, tables and code examples in a format you can reuse in your notes and documentation. COMPLEX TABLES When a table is kept as HTML, open Simplify tables from its warning or from Preview. Compare the original with a simpler version in Rendered, or switch to Markdown to inspect the text before applying a change. Choose whether merged-cell values repeat vertically, fill every covered position, or appear only in the first position. Combine multi-level headers while keeping their context. Extract nested tables below the parent table or flatten them into cell text. Apply your strategy to one table or all available tables, then copy or download the updated result. Guided tips show the controls and can be turned off. You can restore a table's HTML or reset all changes. Simplifications last only in the current Preview and are cleared when it reloads; site settings stay unchanged. Resource limits may make some tables unavailable. Choose how much to save: the full page, selected text, a picked element, or the article area saved for a site. Create site profiles and cleanup rules to leave out recurring navigation and other unwanted content. Import and export your configuration as a local file. To start, pin Markdown-It to your toolbar, open a web page and click the extension icon. Choose a source and select Copy Markdown, Download .md, or Preview. Press Esc to close the panel. Page conversion and settings stay on your device. There are no accounts, analytics, advertising or remote error reports.
