Overview

DevTools panel: capture requests, convert cURL to Python/JS, copy cookies and headers, preview responses.

cURL to Py is a DevTools extension for developers who work with HTTP APIs. It captures network requests from any page and turns them into ready-to-use code — without leaving the browser. WHAT IT DOES ------------ 1. Network request panel (cURL→Py) Open DevTools (F12) and go to the cURL→Py tab. The extension shows a filterable list of requests (similar to the Network tab): method, status, type, URL, and domain. Filter by Fetch/XHR, Doc, CSS, JS, Img, and more. Search by URL or domain. 2. One-click copy For any request you can copy: - Python — requests code - Cookies — Python dict - Headers — Python dict - Preview — opens a dedicated preview window 3. Preview window Inspect the response in one place: - Preview — rendered JSON, HTML, images - Response — raw body - Headers — response headers table - cURL — original command - Python / JS — converted code JSON is pretty-printed with VS Code-style syntax highlighting. Right-click a tab name to copy its content. One preview window is reused; position and size are remembered. 4. Language The UI follows your browser language when supported. Change it anytime from the toolbar switcher in DevTools and Preview. 5. Privacy All conversion runs locally in your browser. Requests are not sent to external servers. WHY USE cURL to Py ------------------ - Faster than manual work — no copy-paste from Network → Copy as cURL → online converter - Stays in DevTools — list, convert, and preview in one workflow - Accurate output — powered by curlconverter (cURL → Python/JS) - Developer-friendly UI — dark theme, toasts, filters, search - Free to use — built for everyday API debugging and scripting HOW TO START ------------ 1. Install the extension 2. Open any website with API calls 3. Press F12 → cURL→Py 4. Click Python, Preview, or another action on a request Works on Chrome 114+.
