Overview

Review websites with typed Notes, Text edits, native screenshots, and a local Review report or Agent prompt.

Point out changes directly on websites and web apps, then give your team or coding agent a clear handoff. PatchReply Preview lets you save typed Notes and Text edits alongside screenshots and page context. HOW IT WORKS • Click PatchReply in Chrome’s toolbar to start reviewing the current page. • Hold Alt, or Option on macOS, and click an element or drag an area to add a typed Note. • Select words to suggest a Text edit with Original and Replacement text. • Keep your Notes together as you browse pages in the same tab. • Finish your review and open a local Review report, copy an Agent prompt, or download Markdown. SCREENSHOTS AND CONTEXT PatchReply captures the visible browser viewport and records location data to help explain your Note. Screenshots may include surrounding content visible on the reviewed page. LOCAL STORAGE This preview requires no account, makes no network service calls, and does not request the microphone. Reviews and screenshots are stored locally on your device. You choose where to save or paste exported content. Page access is granted when you click the toolbar icon. After navigating to a different site, click the icon again to continue reviewing. PREVIEW LIMITS This version supports typed capture and one review tab at a time. Screenshots cover the visible viewport rather than the entire page. Voice capture, PDF downloads, and portable screenshot recovery are still in development. Recovery JSON includes screenshot metadata, but does not include the screenshot image files. Browser-owned pages, the Chrome Web Store, PDF documents, nested frames, and file URLs are outside this preview’s supported capture scope.
