PasteSentry helps protect you from fake CAPTCHA and ClickFix scams that trick websites into copying executable commands to your clipboard and telling you to paste them into Run, PowerShell, Command Prompt, or Terminal. It watches website-initiated clipboard writes in Chrome. In Smart mode, ordinary text is allowed while suspicious command-like payloads are blocked before the browser changes the clipboard. Strict mode blocks all programmatic clipboard writes. When a write is blocked, PasteSentry shows a warning and lets you decide what to do. Privacy-first: • Clipboard analysis happens locally in your browser. • Clipboard contents are not uploaded or sold. • Only metadata-only protection events are stored locally, up to 50. • License activation sends only your license key and a random installation ID to the PasteSentry license service.
