THREE SIMPLE STEPS 1. Open PasteLatch on your application website and choose “Enable on this site.” 2. Paste into a supported text field as usual. 3. If a difference appears, open recovery to inspect it and copy your original. You choose which sites to enable. PasteLatch checks deliberate pastes; it does not write answers, change fields automatically, or submit applications. YOUR WRITING STAYS IN YOUR BROWSER Text is checked locally, with no application-text uploads, AI service, or telemetry. Temporary recovery holds up to 30 recent checks within a 4 MB limit. Delete copies any time; Chrome restarts and extension disable, reload, or update clear them. Site preferences stay local. KNOW WHAT A CHECK MEANS Supports standard top-level plain-text inputs and textareas. Rich-text editors, embedded frames, and some custom controls are unsupported. Password and recognized payment/authentication fields are skipped. Intentional edits and navigation end that field's paste watch. A match confirms only the visible field at the last check.
