Overview

Checks copied text before you paste. Lightweight local lens for Chromebook users.

PasteCheck helps you check copied or selected command-line text before pasting it into a terminal. It looks for risky shell, Docker, and Kubernetes patterns such as remote install scripts, privileged containers, Docker socket mounts, and destructive Kubernetes commands. PasteCheck is useful when copying commands from tutorials, READMEs, docs, chats, issue comments, or setup guides. It gives you a quick local report before the command reaches your terminal. Everything runs locally. PasteCheck does not run commands, require an account, use telemetry, or send checked text to a backend. How it works: 1. Copy or select command-line text. 2. Click PasteCheck. 3. Review the local report. 4. Paste only if you trust what you checked. PasteCheck is intentionally calm and practical: a small local check for command-line text, not a cloud security platform.
