PasteCheck
Overview
Checks copied text before you paste. Lightweight local lens for risky commands, configs, and workflow snippets.
PasteCheck helps you check copied or selected technical text before trusting it. It looks for snippets that may change your machine, repository, browser, workflow, or project in ways that are easy to miss. PasteCheck checks Unix shell, PowerShell, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, package scripts, Chrome extension manifests, Office macros, and bounded page-layout oddities. Use it when copying commands or configuration from tutorials, READMEs, documentation, chats, issue comments, setup guides, extension examples, workflows, or package-install instructions. How it works: 1. Copy text, select text, or choose Page layout. 2. Open PasteCheck and press Check. 3. Review the local report. 4. Continue only if you trust what you checked. Checked text and bounded page-layout facts are processed locally only when you press Check. PasteCheck does not transmit or store them. PasteCheck does not run commands, require an account, use telemetry, make AI calls, or use a backend. PasteCheck is intentionally calm and practical: a local lens for spotting consequential details, not antivirus or a security verdict.
