Password Generator — Random Credentials & Right-Click Autofill
Overview
Create strong passwords with custom length and character sets. Copy a choice from the popup or fill a sign-up form on demand.
Password Generator creates fresh credentials on your device, using the browser's cryptographically secure random source. Open the popup to choose from four results, or invoke the right-click action while completing a registration page. Both routes use the same saved options. You control the length and allowed characters instead of accepting a fixed format. The default is 20 characters, with every available group enabled. 🔐 WHAT YOU GET • Set a length from 8 to 64 characters. For a site's 12, 16 or 32-character requirement, move the slider to the matching value. • Choose uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Each enabled group contributes at least one character. • Create results without special characters when a service rejects them, or leave digits enabled alone for a numbers-only code. • Avoid confusing look-alikes with a checkbox, useful when you must read or type a result elsewhere. 🔧 HOW IT WORKS 1. Open the toolbar popup and adjust your preferences. 2. Click a result to copy it, or press Regenerate for four new choices. 3. To generate a password while registering, right-click the intended input and choose the extension's generation action. 4. Check the notice to see whether filling and clipboard copying succeeded. 🖱️ WHAT AUTOFILL CHANGES The action targets the right-clicked input, or the focused input on first use. When that target is a password field, it also updates eligible companions in the same form: those that are empty or marked for a new credential. Companions marked as the current credential are skipped. If the target has no enclosing form, companions are sought across the document. The field you explicitly target can still be overwritten, so choose the new entry on a change-password form. A text input, such as a revealed secret, is filled alone. Restricted pages and inaccessible embedded frames may prevent the action from working. 💡 GOOD TO KNOW Can I make random test credentials for QA? Yes. Generate a fresh value using the same controls, then paste or insert it where needed. Is this a manager that remembers logins? No. Save anything you need to keep in a suitable place before leaving the form or replacing your clipboard. 🔒 DATA AND STORAGE Generated secrets are held temporarily in the popup or filling process and, after a successful action, in the destination inputs or clipboard. The extension does not save them in its storage. Values inserted into a website become available to that website. Length and character preferences are saved in browser sync storage and may synchronize across signed-in devices. No extension account is required.
