Auto-fills HTTP Basic Auth from 1Password
Password Filler automatically fills HTTP Basic Auth login dialogs using credentials stored in your 1Password vault — no copy-pasting required. HOW IT WORKS When a website shows an HTTP Basic Auth prompt, the extension looks up matching credentials from 1Password and fills them instantly. REQUIREMENTS Requires the free Password Filler companion app installed on your Mac, which connects the extension to your local 1Password account. PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED - webRequest / webRequestAuthProvider: to detect and respond to authentication prompts - nativeMessaging: to communicate with the local companion app - storage: to remember which sites have credentials (no passwords stored) PRIVACY All credential lookups happen entirely on your device. No data is sent to any external server. Passwords are never written to disk.
