PassKey is a local-first password manager for Windows. Your vault is encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stored exclusively on your PC — no cloud, no account, no subscription required. This browser extension connects to the PassKey Desktop app installed on your computer via the Native Messaging API. No data ever leaves your machine. Features: Autofill usernames and passwords with one click Store and autofill credit cards and personal identities Unlock your vault directly from the browser popup — no need to open the desktop app Search across all saved credentials Dual view: credentials for the current site, or browse your entire vault Built-in password generator with strength meter Vault health audit to detect weak or reused passwords Works on any HTTP/HTTPS website Privacy & Security: Zero network connections — no telemetry, no analytics, no tracking All data encrypted locally with AES-256-GCM Communication between extension and desktop app protected with ephemeral ECDH P-256 + AES-256-GCM session keys Open source under GPLv3 Requirements: PassKey Desktop (Windows) must be installed and running.
