PassImage.in – fast, free, and secure screen capture for Chrome. Capture any page, annotate instantly (rectangle, circle, arrow, text, select/move, delete, undo/clear), then share or copy in one click. How it works: - Click the extension icon, drag to select a region. - Annotate on the canvas tab (hollow shapes by default, red stroke). - Upload: sends the annotated PNG to passimage.in, copies the returned URL, and opens it in a background tab while you stay on the canvas (toast for success/error). - Copy: copies the annotated PNG to your clipboard. Download and discard options available. Shortcuts (annotation tab): - R Rectangle | C Circle | T Text | A Arrow | O Obfuscate | S Select | Delete Delete selection | Ctrl+C Copy PNG | Ctrl+U Upload & Copy Link | Ctrl+Z Undo | Ctrl+X Clear all | Ctrl+D Discard/Close | Ctrl+S Download PNG. Troubleshooting: - Works on normal http/https pages; Chrome blocks injections on chrome://, edge://, Web Store, and New Tab. - If you clicked on a blocked page, switch to a regular site and click again. - Reload the extension in chrome://extensions/ after updates; refresh the target tab. - If uploads fail, the PNG is still copied to your clipboard. If clipboard write is denied, ensure the page has focus; some sites restrict clipboard access inside iframes. Notes: - No backend setup required; uploads and viewing run on passimage.in. - Endpoints are configurable via config.js. - Icons and scripts ship in the package for simple loading (Manifest V3). - Packaged zip build available via included release scripts (Windows/macOS/Linux).
