Parrot Connector
Overview
Lets the Parrot web app reach the book servers you approve, such as your own Storyteller.
Parrot is a reading app. On a phone it talks to your own book server directly. In a browser it cannot: browsers do not let a web page read answers from another server unless that server allows it, and home servers such as Storyteller and Audiobookshelf do not. Parrot Connector fills that gap for the Parrot web app only. What it does - When you add a server in the Parrot web app, Parrot Connector asks you, in its own window, whether Parrot may reach that one server. Your browser then asks you to confirm. - After that, the Parrot web app can sign in to that server and load your book list, covers and books through the extension. - It works with servers at home (http://192.168.1.20:8001, http://nas.home:8001) as well as servers on the internet. What it does not do - It works only for the Parrot web app. No other website can use it. - It reaches only the servers you approved, one address at a time. - It never sends your browser's cookies, and it does not read or change the pages you visit. - It collects nothing and sends nothing to us or anyone else. It has no analytics. You can see and remove approved servers at any time in the extension's options.
