Learn French from the videos you already watch. Open a French YouTube video and ParleSprint Immersion shows French captions right under the player, with no setup or sign-in. • Captions follow the video as you seek, pause, change speed, or watch ads. • Tap any word to see its English meaning and alternatives. Choose Explain in context for a short grammar note and example. The spoken word is highlighted as it is said. • Show or hide English translation under each line. Hide French captions to test your listening. • Repeat any line. Save words and phrases to a private vocabulary notebook, then export them as JSON or Anki-compatible CSV. • Choose your level from A1 to B2, with a quiet dark design that stays out of the way. • No French captions? Optionally start live captions from the extension popup. After you start them and accept the notice, the extension captures that tab’s audio and sends it to Google Gemini for French transcription. Live captions are offered only when the video has no French captions and is not clearly in another language. PRIVACY French captions are fetched from YouTube. English translation is on by default; only the caption lines you see and any word you tap are sent to Google Translate. You can turn translation off at any time. If you choose Explain in context, the selected word, its caption line, and your level are sent to ParleSprint’s server and Google Gemini. Live captions are off until you start them and accept a separate audio notice; then the tab audio is sent to Google Gemini. Preferences, vocabulary, and cached captions stay in your browser.
