Skips, mutes, or blurs scenes on netflix.com live during playback, per your family's filter. Never records or saves any media.

Parent Filter is a smart remote for family movie night. When a film starts on netflix.com, the extension looks it up in your guide library on your own computer — so we never learn what you watch — and offers a guide: how many moments it lists, what was checked, and where it came from. Nothing is filtered until you tap "Filter this film." While the film plays it skips, mutes, or blurs exactly the moments the guide lists, to your household's settings: one tap picks a preset (Little kids, Big kids, Teens), and every category shows what it will do to this film before you press play. A notice at the start of every filtered playback says the performance has been altered and names the matched film, so a wrong match is caught by a person. Two more controls: • Pair your phone as the remote. Tap the button in the popup, enter the 6-digit code on the phone guide page of our site, and the phone shows what is coming and can mute, blur, or skip. Pairing sends this film's title, runtime, and moment list to your phone through our server for the length of the session, and nothing after it ends. • Flag a moment. Tap "Flag this moment" while a film plays, optionally pick a category, and press Send to share those timestamps with us under your account. Reviewed flags from several families become better guides; your individual taps are never published. Playback-time only: nothing is recorded, saved, or exported, and no altered copy of any media is created. It works only with content your own streaming account is already authorized to play; it unlocks nothing and downloads nothing. An account is required to look films up (free to connect; on first install the extension opens our connect page once). The shared guide library, the phone remote, and flagging are part of a paid subscription sold by All Things Considered LLC at parentfilter.app — not by Google.
