The Paramount+ web player has no video quality setting, so this free, open-source extension adds one to your browser toolbar. See the resolution and bitrate playing right now, then choose the quality you want. WHAT YOU CAN DO • See the active resolution and bitrate while you watch • Check every option offered for the current title or channel • Pick one yourself, stay on Auto, or use Force Highest Quality • Keep your choice for later videos • Get a short notice when your pick can't play and a lower one is used WHAT IT WORKS WITH Movies, episodes, older catalog titles, TV channels, events, and sports, on demand or live, in DASH and HLS. A live channel may reload once when you change modes. OPTIONAL PLAYBACK HELPERS Open Advanced Settings to turn these on or off. • Retry Network Requests tries failed playback requests again, up to a limit you set from 1 to 10 • Buffer Preloading fetches 1 to 20 upcoming segments where it can, to help reduce buffering. It skips encrypted content, ads, and anything live COMMON QUESTIONS Will this get me 1080p or 4K? It can only choose from what Paramount+ offers you. That depends on the title, plan, region, device, DRM support, and browser. It can't add a quality level that isn't there. Why didn't the picture change right away? What has already buffered has to play out first, which often takes 10 to 20 seconds. Why don't I see any options? Start playback, then open the popup. If it asks for location access, allow it and reload the page. Some titles and recently ended events don't offer a list to choose from. Does it work with ad blockers? Yes, it is designed to run alongside them. Any request it can't safely change continues on its original URL. Does it work in Brave? Yes. Enable Widevine and allow the site's permissions. If playback is blocked, set Shields to Standard or turn it off for paramountplus.com, then refresh. PRIVATE AND OPEN SOURCE Everything runs in your browser.
