Overview

See where your Chrome time goes—active vs. idle per site. Categories, heatmap, timeline. 100% local, no account.

Paralarva Time Tracker is a personal Chrome website time tracker. It records browsing time per domain and separates active use from inactive (idle) time, so an open tab while you are away does not count as real work. ACTIVE VS INACTIVE • Active — you use the keyboard or mouse while Chrome is focused • Inactive — Chrome is focused, but you are idle past your threshold (15–300 seconds, adjustable) Only the active tab in the focused Chrome window is counted. Background tabs, a minimized Chrome window, and a locked screen add no time. Optional setting (on by default): count audible tabs (video, music, calls) as active while you are idle. LOCAL ONLY Statistics stay in Chrome local storage on this device. • No account, no sign-in, no cloud sync • No ads, analytics SDKs, remote servers, or remote code • No website blocking, screenshots, or keystroke capture • Stores hostname only—not full URLs or page content FEATURES • Automatic tracking by website domain • Popup: today or another day, ranked sites, active/inactive columns, summary bar • Report: Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Custom range, All time • Domain or category view with donut charts • Productivity share of active time (productive / neutral / unproductive) • Hourly heatmap and day timeline from local session history • Editable starter categories; map domains with one click from popup or report • Ignore list: exact host or *.example.com • Retention: 30 / 90 / 365 days or forever (session segments for heatmap/timeline capped at ~90 days) • CSV export; JSON backup/restore (totals, sessions, categories) • Pause tracking (toolbar badge shows OFF) • Themes for popup, report, and settings • Languages: English, Russian, German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese (Simplified), French, Arabic, Portuguese (Brazil), Hindi • First-run welcome covering active vs inactive and privacy HOW TO USE 1. Install and pin Paralarva Time Tracker to the toolbar. 2. Browse as usual—tracking runs in the background. 3. Open the popup for today’s sites, pause/resume, report, or settings. 4. Use the report for ranges, categories, heatmap, and timeline. 5. In Settings, set idle threshold, ignores, categories, retention, theme, and backups. PERMISSIONS • tabs — attribute time to the active tab’s site • storage — save stats, sessions, and settings on device • idle — detect idle time and locked screen • alarms — update totals and apply retention No host permissions. Domain letter avatars are generated on device.
