Overview

Save papers and web pages to your Papero library in one click.

Papero Web Importer saves the paper you are reading to your Papero library, from a side panel beside the page. Open the panel on a paper and Papero Web Importer reads the reference from the page: the DOI, arXiv or PubMed record, or the page's own details if it is an ordinary web page. You see the reference first (title, type, authors, journal, year, volume, pages, DOI), choose where it goes, and save it. What you can do: - Capture references from DOI, arXiv and PubMed pages, and save any other web page as a webpage source. - Check the reference before you save it. Retracted papers and preprints are flagged. - File it straight into a collection: search your collections, or type a new name and create it from the same box. - Open the saved reference in Papero and cite it in your Papero documents. - Save straight from the page: an "Add to Papero" button appears beside the article's title (or at the bottom right of an article page whose title it cannot match) and beside each DOI, arXiv and PubMed link on the pages you open. It is on by default; switch it off for one site, or for every site, in the panel's settings. - Right-click a page and choose "Add this page to Papero" to open the panel, or right-click a DOI, arXiv or PubMed link and choose "Add this link to Papero" to save that paper straight away. - Choose a light, dark or system theme, and sign out, from the account menu in the panel's header. Button settings hold the Add to Papero switches, the sites you turned them off on, where quick saves go (the last collection you used, or always My Library), and the panel's keyboard shortcut. You need a Papero account (papero.ai). Papero Web Importer saves references; it does not download PDFs or copy full texts. It signs in with your existing Papero session in the browser, and it sends nothing anywhere except app.papero.ai.
