Overview
Reports active browser context to Panoptic.
Panoptic is a personal attention agent that helps you understand how your attention moves on computer and make your own intentions present when they matter. This Chrome extension connects browser activity with the Panoptic desktop application for Windows. It adds only the active website’s hostname to your attention timeline—not the full page address, title, or content—and supports check-ins and reminders for website rules you create. With Panoptic, you can: - See active website hostnames alongside application activity - Notice continuity, context changes, and returns - Create your own website boundaries and reminders - Review patterns without productivity scores or imposed judgments Privacy by design: - The active tab URL is reduced inside the extension to its hostname - Full URLs, paths, queries, fragments, credentials, page titles, and page content are not sent - Panoptic does not capture keystrokes, screenshots, or clipboard contents - Private browsing remains a generic private context by default - Private website hostnames require separate consent in Panoptic and Chrome’s “Allow in Incognito” setting Panoptic includes no default restricted websites and does not label websites as productive or distracting. You decide which contexts, if any, deserve support. Note : Requires the Panoptic desktop application for Windows. This extension does not provide a standalone dashboard.
