What Prompt Generator does Prompt Generator helps you turn a rough draft into a clear, well-structured prompt inside supported AI chats. It works on the text you have already written and keeps every decision, every edit, and the final send in your hands. How Generate Prompt works One Generate Prompt button guides the whole improvement: 1. Write or paste your draft in the chat's input field. 2. Press Generate Prompt. 3. Advisor reviews the draft and surfaces only the decisions that materially affect the result. A detailed draft may already be ready. 4. Resolve each required decision: pick a suggested answer or type your own. 5. Press the same Generate Prompt button again. 6. Review the rewritten prompt. It replaces your draft only after a valid, non-empty result. 7. Use Undo or Redo, or keep editing the text directly. 8. Send the message yourself when you are satisfied. Prompt Generator never sends anything for you. Save and History Save keeps the current text in your browser's local storage for recurring work. History lets you copy, insert, or delete saved entries later. Both are local utilities: nothing you save becomes part of a remote library. Privacy and control - The extension reads only the current input field, and only after you press Generate Prompt or Save. - The full chat history is not read, scraped, stored, or transmitted. - Advisor's review and prompt generation run remotely through the extension's own privileged backend; provider credentials never reach your browser. - The application does not remotely store your drafts, Advisor's questions, your answers, or generated prompts. - Save and History stay in local Chrome storage. - Nothing is ever sent automatically: you review and send every message yourself. Supported AI chats The Generate Prompt, Save, and History controls appear next to the input field on supported AI chat sites, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Copilot, plus other supported AI chats. Prompt Generator is an independent extension and is not affiliated with any of these services. Frequently asked questions Does it write a prompt from nothing? No. It improves a draft you have already written. What if my draft is already good? Advisor raises only decisions that materially change the outcome. If there are none, the draft is simply ready to generate. Does it change my text while I decide? No. Your draft is replaced only after you generate, and Undo restores it at any time. Does it send messages? Never. Sending always stays manual. Prepare the draft, answer what matters, generate, review — and send it when it is right.
