PageProof
Overview
Capture local webpage snapshots and compare what changed later.
PageProof is a local webpage snapshot and comparison tool for information that may change after you first read it. Capture a text-oriented version of the current page, keep it in your browser, and later compare a fresh scan of the same URL with the saved version. PageProof highlights added, removed, modified, and moved content and separately reports link changes. It is useful for pricing pages, product specifications, job listings, documentation, policy pages, terms, announcements, project requirements, and other webpages where the wording matters over time. Main features: • User-initiated local webpage snapshots • Bounded capture of visible semantic text blocks • Local capture of visible links and link labels • SHA-256 content fingerprint for each saved snapshot • Added, removed, modified, and moved content detection • Link-change detection • Full before-and-after comparison workspace • Filters for different change categories • Local snapshot library • Individual snapshot deletion • Clear the complete local snapshot library • Capture limits and a local storage budget to bound retained data • No account required • No developer-operated snapshot server The SHA-256 value is an integrity fingerprint for the local capture. PageProof does not provide third-party notarization, blockchain timestamping, legal certification, or independent proof that a webpage was publicly available at a particular time.
