It analyzes page structure, identifies important sections, highlights your current target, and adds a clean navigation layer so you can skip clutter, jump to what matters, and stay oriented without endless scrolling. Use Jump to reach the strongest section, Next to move through useful sections in order, or “Find on this page” to search locally for a specific topic or phrase. SkimRoute works on long articles, documentation, tutorials, research pages, search results, AI chats, selectable-text PDFs, and scanned documents. For PDFs, SkimRoute can recover text locally, run on-device OCR when needed, and open a controlled PDF Mode for more reliable page navigation and highlighting. Google Docs support uses the document’s accessibility content when available. SkimRoute is local-only and designed to stay out of the way until you need it. No signup, no backend, no analytics, and no remote AI calls. Page content, PDF text, OCR results, and searches stay on your device.
