A web page translator powered by Amazon Bedrock Claude AI. Because it's LLM-based, translations read far more naturally than traditional translators. It's especially good for technical docs — code blocks, commands, and product names are left untouched while only the explanatory text is translated, keeping everything readable. ──────────────────────── 🌐 Supported languages (16) ──────────────────────── English, 한국어, 日本語, 简体中文, 繁體中文, Español, Français, Deutsch, Português, Italiano, Русский, Tiếng Việt, ไทย, Bahasa Indonesia, हिन्दी, العربية Pick a target language in settings and all translations use it from then on. The default follows your browser's language. The extension's own UI is also localized into these languages. ──────────────────────── Key features ──────────────────────── • Full-page translation — translate the whole page with one click. Layout and link structure stay intact. • Selection translation — select text to get a translate icon; click it for a floating result card. Pin it to keep it on screen for reference. • Automatic language detection — a translation banner appears at the top when you visit a foreign-language page. • Prompt customization — tweak the translation style or how specific terms are handled. ──────────────────────── Models ──────────────────────── • Claude Haiku 4.5 — fast and economical • Claude Sonnet 4.6 — balanced quality (default) • Claude Opus 4.8 — highest quality ──────────────────────── Authentication — AWS SSO, or an optional Bedrock API key ──────────────────────── Sign in with your organization's AWS SSO account. It uses the IAM Identity Center device flow — the same mechanism as the AWS CLI's `aws sso login`. • Short-lived temporary credentials only — no long-term secret is stored for the SSO path. • No middle server — requests go directly from your browser to Bedrock, so your content never passes through a third-party server. • Costs are billed to your own AWS account — no shared-key abuse risk. If your account can't use SSO (for example, an AWS member account), you can optionally enter a Bedrock API key instead. The key is stored locally in your browser only. For safety, use a short-lived, Bedrock-only (least-privilege) key. ──────────────────────── Cost ──────────────────────── For Claude Haiku 4.5: input $1 / 1M tokens, output $5 / 1M tokens. Prompt caching is applied, so repeated system prompts are served as cache reads ($0.10 / 1M) — up to 90% savings versus no caching. Translated sentences are cached locally, so re-translating the same sentence shows instantly with no API call. ──────────────────────── Requirements ──────────────────────── • An organization account with AWS IAM Identity Center (SSO) enabled, and a role with Amazon Bedrock invoke permission, OR • A Bedrock API key with permission to call Amazon Bedrock. To use it with a personal AWS account, either enable IAM Identity Center with a Bedrock-permitted Permission Set, or create a Bedrock API key.
