Page Shield
Overview
Blocks unwanted redirects, popups, and common ads with configurable controls and a whitelist.
Page Shield helps you keep control when websites try to redirect you, spawn tabs you did not ask for, or cover the page with intrusive ad overlays. Core features: Block automatic redirects that happen without a recent user action. Block auto-opened tabs and popup behavior triggered by scripts or synthetic clicks. Hide common ad containers and block requests to common ad networks. Auto-close stubborn overlay ads and floating video players when a close button or Skip Ad control is available. View recent blocking activity, including redirects, popup tabs, and ad cleanups. Recover safely with Open once, Allow 10m, or persistent allowed-link exceptions. Trust a full site, pause protection for 10 minutes, or allow new tabs only on sites that need them. Right-click a missed ad and save it as a custom blocked element rule for future visits. Turn each protection layer on or off individually. Page Shield is designed for people who want stronger browsing control without a complicated setup. Most sites work with the default settings, and exceptions stay focused so you do not have to trust more than necessary. When a site uses an unusual ad container, you can teach the extension that element instead of disabling protection for the whole site.
