Page Shield
Overview
Blocks unwanted redirects, auto-opened tabs, and intrusive overlay ads with configurable per-site controls.
Page Shield helps you stay in control when websites try to redirect you, open tabs you did not ask for, or cover the page with intrusive overlays. Core protection: • Block automatic redirects without a recent user action. • Block script-opened tabs and popup behavior while preserving normal clicks, typed searches, and right-click tab actions. • Hide common ad containers and block known ad-network requests. • Auto-close floating video ads when a close or Skip Ad control appears. The activity tracker shows what was blocked and gives you focused recovery actions: Retry, Allow once, Allow 10m, or Allow session. Trust a full site only when needed, pause protection temporarily, or allow new tabs on one site while keeping redirects and ads protected. If a site uses an unusual ad container, right-click it and report the missed ad. Page Shield saves a site-scoped custom selector instead of weakening protection everywhere. Each protection layer can be enabled or disabled independently. Page Shield is free to use, works locally in the browser, and has no account or subscription. Optional Cash App and PayPal donations support maintenance but do not unlock features.
