It records decoded tab audio directly on your device—without accounts, ads, analytics, telemetry, or audio uploads. RECORD TAB AUDIO AS WAV Choose 32-bit Float, 24-bit PCM, or 16-bit PCM WAV. Preserve the decoded sample rate and channel count. Skip silent sections automatically while keeping a short pre-roll. Pause, resume, or stop and download a recording. Cancel and discard an unfinished recording without downloading it. Use keyboard shortcuts to start, pause or resume, and stop. PREVIEW OR DOWNLOAD SOURCE AUDIO Preview a complete audio resource when the current page exposes one. Download the exposed source file directly without re-encoding. Direct source download is not available on every website. LOCAL, PRIVATE AND RECOVERABLE Audio processing and WAV creation stay in your browser. Large recordings are written progressively to local browser storage. Recover interrupted WAV recordings from the extension. Choose the interface language independently from Chrome. USE CASES Useful for podcast editing, video production, music practice, language learning, research notes, accessibility workflows, and recording audio you have permission to retain. IMPORTANT Page Audio Recorder does not bypass DRM, authentication, paywalls, segmented streaming, or website access controls. Recorded WAV output represents decoded tab audio and may not be bit-identical to the original source file. You are responsible for obtaining permission to record or download content.
