PaceNotes
Overview
Live tips and notes from a tab you choose, and hands-on help on a tab when you ask. You start it; nothing runs on its own.
PaceNotes listens to the browser tab you pick, such as a video call or a meeting, and to your microphone, and shows a live transcript with short tips for what to say or ask next. When you are done it writes up the notes and follow-ups. You are in charge. Nothing starts until you open a tab and press Start. The first time, PaceNotes asks whether anyone besides you is talking on this, so it knows it is OK to listen. On a call or meeting, you tell the others you are recording. Under More options, choose how PaceNotes reaches you: Spoken in my earbuds speaks to you, On screen shows short lines, Large print shows large letters. Choose how much it says, from least to most: Only when I ask, Short tips, or Exact lines to read, which gives you exact lines to read out and is off until you turn it on, because people can often tell when you read lines from an AI. Your microphone is only on while a session is running, and a Mute my mic button, the shortcut Alt+Shift+M, or saying "PaceNotes, mute my mic" turns it off while the tab is still heard. PaceNotes works out which job a conversation was about, so you do not have to pick one. Two extras are off until you turn them on in Options, and Chrome asks first. Speaker names read who is speaking from the captions on Meet, Teams and Zoom. YouTube extras read a video's date and captions so PaceNotes can write notes without you listening. Help on a tab. Separate from listening, you can open Get help on this tab and ask your assistant for a hand. It reads only the one tab you opened help on, with passwords and payment fields removed first, and shows a Stop button on that page. If you switch on Let the AI drive this tab, it can click and type on that one tab, one action at a time, each shown to you first, and you can stop it at any time. It attaches to no other tab and never reads your network traffic, cookies or storage. Nothing happens until you open help and turn it on. Privacy. We do not store audio. Audio goes straight from your browser to OpenAI for transcription. Transcripts are kept for 90 days unless you choose another time, and you can delete them whenever you like. If you turn it on in Options, we read and grade the text of your calls and meetings to improve PaceNotes. It is off until you do. We do not train an AI model of our own on your data, sell it or show ads. In help mode, a short text outline of the tab you opened help on, and a picture of it when you turn on driving, go to your assistant to decide each step, with passwords and payment fields removed first. PaceNotes is for people 18 and older. You are responsible for telling the people in the conversation and for any consent the law requires. Some places need everyone to agree.
