Overtone: capture, question, and cite earnings calls without leaving the page.

Overtone turns an earnings call you are already listening to into research you can defend. Open a call on YouTube or a supported investor-relations webcast. Press capture. Overtone reads the transcript the venue already publishes, indexes it, and gives you a panel beside the video that answers questions about what was said. WHAT IT DOES • Ask questions in plain language. "What changed in the margin guidance?" returns an answer with citations that resolve to the exact timestamp, so you can jump straight to the moment and hear it yourself. • Capture slides without breaking your attention. A camera button sits in the player's own controls, so it works in fullscreen. Every capture is timestamped and saved to your workspace. • Take timestamped notes while you listen. One keystroke stamps the current playback position. • Read the signals. Overtone measures how often management hedged, per thousand words of their own speech, and shows the phrases that produced the number. It flags questions that were asked but never answered. • Draft a memo. Claims that cannot be traced back to something said on the call are reported to you rather than quietly kept. WHY THE CITATIONS MATTER A summariser produces prose you cannot check. Overtone is built around the opposite constraint: no claim without a citation. Citation markers the model invents are stripped before anything is saved, and numeric claims with no resolving source are surfaced to you instead of being kept. WHAT IT ASKS FOR The extension requests access only to the venues where earnings calls are actually streamed, plus Overtone's own API.
