## Short Description Draw temporary annotations on webpages with freehand, lines, shapes, text, and Pro screenshot tools. ## Detailed Description OverlayDraw lets you draw directly on top of webpages while keeping the page underneath usable. It is built for screen sharing, UI reviews, product demos, lessons, support calls, and quick feedback when a screenshot editor would interrupt the flow. Open the extension, enable drawing, choose your activation key and mouse button, then drag on the page. Free users can mark up pages with Freehand and Line tools, adjust color, width, and opacity, clear drawings, and use a shortcut for clearing the current page. OverlayDraw Pro adds editing and presentation tools for more polished annotation workflows: Undo / Redo, Arrow, Rectangle, Mosaic, Text annotations, Screenshot export, Copy PNG, Click Highlight, and overlay recording controls. Pro is activated with a license key after checkout. The floating toolbar appears on the page when drawing controls are enabled. Open a webpage. 2. Open the OverlayDraw popup. 3. Turn on `Enable drawing`. 4. Choose a modifier key and mouse button. 5. Drag on the page with the selected combination. 6. Use the floating toolbar for tools, width, opacity, color, undo, redo, clear, screenshot actions, and Click Highlight. 7. Choose `See Pro` in the popup to open the Pro purchase page, then paste the license key into the popup and choose `Activate`. ## Permissions OverlayDraw uses only the permissions needed for the current feature set. - `storage`: saves drawing settings, toolbar preferences, license state, and local activation details. - `activeTab`: lets the popup send setting changes and actions to the active tab when you interact with the extension. - `clipboardWrite`: lets Pro users copy a generated PNG screenshot to the clipboard. - `<all_urls>` host access: loads the drawing overlay and floating toolbar on webpages where Chrome allows content scripts. Browser-protected pages such as `chrome://` pages cannot be annotated. OverlayDraw does not use the `tabs` permission. Drawings are temporary page overlays and are not uploaded by the extension.
