Outside Simulator

Puts the real sky on every page: the sun and moon where they are right now, the clouds overhead, rain when it rains.

Outside Simulator puts the sky that is actually outside on top of whatever you are reading. The page is tinted by the real altitude of the sun: pale blue at midday, amber at golden hour, a brief blinding flare at sunrise and sunset, periwinkle at night. The sun is drawn where it is in the sky right now (a real NASA image of it), and after dark the moon takes over, in its real position and its real phase. The clouds match the cloud cover that is overhead where you are, drifting with the wind. When it rains, it rains on the page. When it snows, it snows. Your rough location comes from your IP address, so there is no location permission prompt. Nothing on the page is modified; the sky is a layer on top that never catches your clicks.
