Overview
Submit a URL (or a list of URLs) to archive.org, archive.today, Ghostarchive, megalodon.jp, and arquivo.pt in one click.
Ourchives is your one-click reading room of record. A great GEO-SEO tool! It takes any web page, or a whole list of them, and submits each one to five independent public web archives at the same time: the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine (archive.org), archive.today, Ghostarchive, megalodon.jp, and arquivo.pt. Web pages disappear. Articles get edited, posts get deleted, whole sites go dark. If a page matters to you, the only real insurance is to have it preserved in more than one archive, because any single archive can miss a capture, be temporarily down, or remove content. Doing that by hand means opening five different archive sites, pasting the same URL five times, waiting on each form, and repeating all of it for every link you want to keep. For a list of ten links, that is fifty manual submissions. Ourchives does all of that for you. Open the popup, and the page you are currently on is already filled in. Paste in as many additional URLs as you like, one per line, press Archive, and the extension opens a background tab for each submission, fills in each archive's form, and submits it, including the site-specific details you would otherwise have to remember: on archive.org it turns on Save outlinks and Save screenshot when you are logged in and turns off saving of error pages, and on megalodon.jp it waits for the Cloudflare check before pressing the capture button. What used to be an afternoon of copy-and-paste becomes a single click. MAIN BENEFITS AND FEATURES Five archives in one click: every URL is submitted to archive.org, archive.today, Ghostarchive, megalodon.jp, and arquivo.pt, so each page is preserved in multiple independent places. Batch archiving: paste a whole list of URLs, one per line, and archive them all in one run. Duplicates are removed and invalid lines are reported instead of silently dropped. Current page prefilled: the tab you are on is entered for you when the popup opens. Pick your shelves: each of the five archives can be switched on or off, and your selection is remembered. Confirmation links when done: every completed submission shows a link to the archived page that was just created, plus a link to the newest snapshot, so you can verify the capture immediately. A persistent record: the status of every submission (queued, loading, submitting, submitted, or error) is kept and shown live, even if you close and reopen the popup. Export to CSV: download your full archiving record, with timestamps and result links, as a spreadsheet-ready CSV file. Smart archive.org handling: when you are signed in to archive.org, outlinks and screenshot capture are enabled and error-page saving is disabled automatically. No servers, no accounts, no tracking by the extension: everything runs locally in your browser and talks only to the archive services themselves. A NOTE ON TIMING AND FAIR USE Archiving is not instantaneous. Each submission can take roughly 15 to 45 seconds to go through, because the archive services fetch and capture the whole page on their end, and megalodon.jp in particular requires a Cloudflare check before its capture button can be pressed. While a batch is running, tab over to the individual archive tabs from time to time: some services may show a captcha or an extra confirmation button, and clicking it there lets that submission finish. Please also archive in moderation. These are free public services, and submitting very large batches in rapid succession can look like abusive automation to them, which may get your connection rate-limited or temporarily blocked. Reasonable, spaced-out use keeps the archives fast and keeps your access in good standing. Give your links a place on the shelf. With Ourchives, if a page ever vanishes, you will have kept it five times over. This is a great GEO-SEO tool as is enables historic visibility into your pages beyond just what is live at the moment.
