Oubliette

Hide engagement-farming accounts on Facebook, Instagram and X — on your screen only, without blocking them.

Stop feeding engagement farmers. Oubliette quietly hides posts from the accounts you choose on Facebook, Instagram and X, so you are not tempted to read, react or reply. Nothing is blocked, muted or reported: Oubliette only changes what you see in your own browser. The people you hide are never notified and nothing is sent to Facebook, Instagram or X. HOW IT WORKS • Click the small eye-off button next to an account's name, or right-click their name and choose "Hide this account with Oubliette". • Their posts are blurred with a "Show" button, or removed completely if you prefer. • Choose what to hide for each listed account: their posts, their replies and comments, reposts and quotes of them, and (optionally) posts that mention them. • A counter shows how many posts were hidden in this session. • Undo is one click away, and exceptions let you keep seeing someone who is on a shared list. SHARED LISTS (OPTIONAL) Sign in on the Oubliette website with Google or GitHub to back up your list, sync it between browsers, share it with a link, and subscribe to lists made by others. Lists only appear in the public directory after they have been reviewed by a moderator. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Works without an account: everything stays in your browser. • No ads, no analytics, no trackers. • Never reads your messages, never collects your browsing history, never sends post content anywhere. • Hidden-post counters never leave your browser. • Open about what it stores: see the privacy notice. Oubliette works on facebook.com, instagram.com and x.com (twitter.com) in Chrome, Edge, Brave and other Chromium browsers. Social networks change their pages often; if something is not hidden as expected, let us know from the website. Oubliette is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Meta, Facebook, Instagram or X Corp.
