Hello! Bonjour and Namaste!👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻 Otto is a fun Pomodoro timer, website blocker, and focus companion on the web. Otto helps you stay focused, mindful, and productive while working. Think of Otto as your digital companion that you need to care for; if you neglect your tasks, it takes a toll on Otto's health. And we take your privacy very seriously. We do not spy, collect, steal, or sell your data. How to Install Otto? - Click on the “Add to Chrome/Brave” button. - Once installed, you’ll see a welcome page with an overview. - Be sure to pin the extension. This is important because the timer is displayed in the extension when you start a session. If you don’t pin it, you may not see it. Remember to "pin it" ✅ Main Features Pomodoro Sessions: Split your time into manageable chunks. For example, work for 45 minutes and take a 5-minute break. After each work session, a break session begins. The timer recurs until you stop it. Task Sessions: Task sessions let you name your tasks, they act as a way to remind you what your working on. They function differently from a pomodoro timer since they do not respect the work/break idea. You can add up to 3 tasks on the free version and unlimited tasks on the Pro version. The task timer also shows you a little pop with your tasks, which you can minimize. Website Blocking: Block any website without any restrictions. You can add unlimited websites for free. Just go to the blocklist in otto’s popup and add your site. You can also go to a website and open ottos popup and block the site directly from there. The block site will only be activated when a Pomodoro timer or task timer is running. This plays nicely into focus during work Command Bar (Press ctrl+shift+o or cmd+shift+o for Mac): Run commands from anywhere. Use the command bar to start a Pomodoro timer, create tasks, or set up custom sessions. A handy feature for productivity without disrupting your workflow. Nudges Nudges are small reminders you can set throughout the day. They prompt you to focus for 5 minutes, helping you build a habit if you need that extra push. You can customize reminders to suit your schedule. Autoblock Websites: Automatically block websites after spending a certain amount of time on them. For example, block YouTube after 1 minute. Useful for breaking habits. The free plan allows one autoblock. 5-Minute Focus Reminders: Encourages you to start working for 5 minutes, which often leads to longer focus periods. Daily reminders to help you get into the flow. Sounds: Customize the sounds that play at the end of a Pomodoro session. Now how does Otto’s health and game mechanic works? Here’s a simple explanation - Focus is important, focus for 25 minutes or more and you gain 100+ health and a maple leaf - Get distracted and your health goes down by -10 - If health goes to zero, then death comes - But death is not final, revive using 10 maple leaves So remember - Collect maple leaves and restore Otto. It would mean a lot to us. Data Collection and Privacy We take your privacy very very seriously. We do not spy, collect, steal, or sell your data. That goes against our values of creating good software products and building trust with our users and customers. So the important question - If you don’t sell data, how do we make money? Well, we don’t. Not much from Otto. We do however work with our clients and help them with their software businesses. We also have other products that are more business and professional-focused. So we use that to generate revenue. We intend to keep most of Otto's features free and usable. So no we do not collect your browsing data, websites visited, time spent or any kind of personally identifiable information to 3rd parties for extra money. All the data that is collect for visualization is stored in your browsers local storage and doesn’t leave it. We do collect events and page views using Google analytics. This will help us improve Otto.
