Oscilloscope IDE is a Chrome extension for building XY oscilloscope visuals from browser audio, imported audio files, synthesized notes and vector media. The extension opens a local studio UI with a WebGL oscilloscope preview, a multitrack timeline and a right-side editor for media, instruments, effects and audio analysis. Projects are saved as `.osci.json` files and can include audio media, drawing data, timeline clips, automation and display settings. Core functions: - Capture the current tab's audio and route it into the oscilloscope engine. - Use microphone input or imported audio files as sources. - Sequence audio, synth, visual, group and effect clips on a bar-based timeline. - Build synth tracks with oscilloscope-oriented shapes, envelopes, MIDI input and computer keyboard input. - Import or draw vector media for visual tracks. - Add and automate visual/audio-reactive effects, including display, scale, swirl, bit crush, duplicator and related oscilloscope transforms. - Monitor live audio features such as RMS, peak, onset, bass, mids, treble, spectral centroid, kick, snare and hi-hat. - Reference audio features in functional keyframes and automation expressions. - Render offline video, render audio, export MIDI and export a Deus-compatible visual preset. - Save projects locally and reopen them without a server account. The extension is intended for oscilloscope music-video work, audio-reactive visual design, shader/effect prototyping and structured browser-based audio visualization.
