origin-tool · how you got here
Overview
Where this tab came from, and its link copied without tracking parameters.
origin-tool tells you how you got to the tab you are on. If you came from Google, YouTube, Bing or another search, you see the query. If it was a click, you see which site it came from. If you typed the address in, it says that too. Below is this tab's trail of hops, not your whole browsing history. It also copies the link clean: it strips utm, fbclid, gclid and other tracking parameters. Clicking the text opens that URL; the copy icon puts it on the clipboard. Everything stays in your browser. No account, no cloud, nothing is sent anywhere. It is not a marketing tracker and it does not log what you do in other tabs. It only remembers where the current tab came from, for as long as the session is open. HOW TO USE IT 1. Open a page from a search or a link. 2. Click the origin-tool icon. 3. Read the origin, copy the clean URL, or open a hop. If the tab was already open before you installed the extension, there is no origin to remember.
