Overview

Inspect, explain and compare on-page SEO signals instantly. Created by Angelos Tsiligkanos and private by design.

Organic View is a private, local-first SEO inspection extension that helps you understand the page currently open in Chrome without sending audit results to an external service. Open the side panel and inspect the rendered page instantly. Organic View brings the signals used in everyday on-page and technical SEO work into one clear interface, with evidence, practical findings and direct links back to the elements on the page. WHAT YOU CAN INSPECT • Current URL, HTTP response status and redirect path • Page title and meta description, including character guidance • Canonical URL and canonical mismatches • Robots meta directives and indexability signals • X-Robots-Tag response headers through an optional server HTML check • HTML language, charset and viewport configuration • Heading hierarchy, visible word count and hidden headings • Internal, external and other-protocol links • Follow and nofollow link attributes • Link locations such as navigation, primary content, footer and other page areas • Images with missing, empty or populated alt attributes • Image dimensions, loading attributes, fetch priority and page location• Open Graph and Twitter/X metadata with social preview simulations • JSON-LD structured data and JSON syntax validity • Hreflang references • Public technology signatures such as common CMS, ecommerce, analytics and frontend tools • Current-visit DOM size, resource observations and locally available LCP, INP and CLS measurements FAST, VISUAL SEO DEBUGGING Organic View does more than list metadata. Clear status indicators make important problems easy to spot, including missing metadata, overly long titles or descriptions, non-matching canonicals, noindex directives and HTTP errors. Select a heading, link or image inside the extension to scroll to and highlight the corresponding element on the webpage. This makes large pages much easier to investigate. Redirect and HTTP error information remains visible across the extension, including redirect hops and final response status. The toolbar badge can surface redirect status even while the side panel is closed. FILTER AND EXPORT Filter links independently by: • Follow or nofollow status • Internal, external or other destination type • Page location Filter images by: • Missing alt attribute • Empty alt attribute • Alt text present • Page location Export the complete audit or selected sections as JSON or CSV. Filtered exports contain only the items currently shown, making it easy to create focused implementation lists for developers, editors or clients. RAW HTML VERSUS RENDERED PAGE The optional Check server HTML action requests the current URL directly from the browser without cookies or login credentials. It compares the returned HTML and response headers with the rendered page. This can reveal cases where JavaScript changes the title, canonical, robots directives, social metadata or other important signals after the server response. It can also expose X-Robots-Tag headers and additional public server evidence. The server HTML check is optional and runs only when you select it. COMPARE BEFORE AND AFTER Save a local baseline before making website updates, then inspect the page again after deployment. The Compare tab helps identify accidental changes to titles, descriptions, canonicals, robots directives, headings, images and other key signals. Baselines are stored only in the extension’s local browser storage and can be replaced or removed at any time. PRIVACY BY DESIGN Organic View does not use accounts, analytics, advertising or telemetry. It does not send page contents, browsing history, audit results or usage information to the publisher. Normal page inspection runs locally in your browser. Redirect information is retained temporarily in browser session storage, and user-created comparison baselines remain in local extension storage. The extension does not use external keyword, backlink, ranking, AI or Core Web Vitals field-data services. IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS Organic View reports directly observable browser and response signals. It cannot guarantee that a search engine will index or rank a page. Technology detection is heuristic and limited to public evidence. It cannot reliably identify private infrastructure such as databases when the website does not expose that information. Performance measurements are observations from the current browser visit, not historical Chrome UX Report field data. Resource weight can be incomplete when files are cached or cross-origin timing information is restricted. Organic View does not provide backlink data, keyword search volume, rankings or site-wide crawling. Created by Angelos Tsiligkanos.
