ORCID & Researchmap Metrics turns researcher profile pages into a rich citation dashboard. Open any public researcher page on ORCID (https://orcid.org/) or researchmap (https://researchmap.jp/, Japan's national researcher directory), and a metrics panel appears automatically — no searching, no copying names into other databases, no manual calculation. 【Why install it?】 - Save time: c-score, H-index, citation counts, and more are computed and displayed in seconds, right on the page you are already viewing. - See beyond raw counts: metrics are stratified by author position (first / middle / last-or-corresponding), so the numbers reflect what the researcher actually led — not just big consortium papers they joined. - Get the full picture: peer-review activity from ORCID is summarized alongside publications, a contribution that citation databases usually ignore. - Trust the numbers: everything is computed from open data (OpenAlex, Crossref, ORCID, CiNii), with an "ⓘ" explanation for every metric, including its limitations. - Stay private: no account, no tracking, no personal data collection. The optional AI summary runs entirely on your device. 【Metrics displayed】 ■ Publications - c-score — the composite citation indicator by Ioannidis et al. (2019), used in the World's Top 2% Scientists database, with co-authorship adjustment and authorship-position weighting - Total / first-author / middle-author / last-or-corresponding-author paper counts - NC (total citations), H-index, Hm-index, Hf/Hmid/Hsl-indices, i10-index - NCS / NCSF / NCSFL (citations to sole / sole+first / sole+first+last-or-corresponding papers) - Top 10% and Top 1% cited papers (field- and year-normalized, by author position) - Yearly citation charts and a full paper list with per-paper citations and percentiles (CSV export) ■ Peer review (from ORCID Peer Review) - Total reviews; sum and mean of reviewed-journal JIF-equivalents (OpenAlex 2-year mean citedness) - Top 3 reviewed journals by JIF-equivalent and by review count (The help notes that using journal-level metrics for individual assessment is discouraged by DORA.) ■ AI summary (experimental, opt-in) - Chrome's built-in on-device AI (Gemini Nano) generates a plain-language summary of research topics, the metric profile, and career stage. No data ever leaves your device. 【How it works】 Author identity is resolved with ORCID-direct matching first, then OpenAlex author IDs, then name matching. Citations come from OpenAlex with Crossref fallback; DOIs are supplemented via ORCID, CiNii, and Crossref title search. Results are cached locally (default ~6 months) to minimize load on data sources. Bilingual interface (Japanese / English). 【User limit on researchmap (important)】 To limit the load on researchmap servers, metric computation on researchmap is restricted to the first 100 users (a one-time anonymous activation; no personal information is sent). After the limit is reached, researchmap pages show a notice, and metrics can still be displayed via the researcher's linked ORCID iD. There is NO user limit on ORCID. 【Privacy & Terms】 This extension collects no personal information. It accesses only public researchmap pages without sending login credentials (outside the scope of the researchmap Web API Terms of Service). Intended for research and educational use.
