Orbee Platform Console

The Orbee Platform Console is a fresh way to view Orbee data in real-time.

Orbee Platform Console shows you exactly what Orbee is doing on any web page. Open it in Chrome's side panel (or a pop-out window) and see the Orbee scripts on the page you're browsing, every event sent, and the visitor data behind them, live as you click around the site. Use it to confirm an installation, troubleshooting events, or look up a visitor without leaving the page. WHO IT'S FOR • Orbee teams setting up and supporting Orbee on dealer and partner websites • Web and marketing teams who want to confirm Orbee tracking is working on their site • Anyone troubleshooting why an event, rule or plugin isn't behaving as expected EVENTS • Live events for each Orbee token on the page, as they're sent, with a count on each token in the sidebar • Tokens appear by property name once known, with the token beside it • Events are still captured when a token sends data without a script on the page (for example from an injected script or an iframe), so nothing is missed • Other Events: the other analytics events the page sends, collected in one list you can export SCRIPT • Script Diagnostics: a health check for each Orbee script on the page, marked Healthy, Check setup or Not working, with a note on where to fix the problem • Rules & Callbacks: the rules, segments, rulesets and plugins in each script's build, searchable, so you can see what a script will do before it runs • SDK Plugins: which Orbee SDK plugins are loaded, with their versions and configuration • Script Injection: add an Orbee script token to a page, or to iframes on it, to test a setup before it's installed on the site VISITOR • User: the Orbee visitor identified on the page, from the Orbee visitor cookie • Customer profile (UCP): the visitor's business history and transactions, communications, audiences, opt-ins and automotiveMastermind data, opened in the right property • Viewed Vehicles: the vehicles the visitor has looked at PAGE • Page Details: the account and property IDs, environment, script domain and redirect domain behind the page's Orbee scripts • Cookies: the Orbee cookies set on the page • Site Links: quick links for the page you're inspecting SESSION REPLAY Record your visit to a page and play it back inside the console, so you can step through what happened alongside the events it produced. GETTING STARTED 1. Install the extension and pin it to your toolbar. 2. Open a website that has Orbee installed. 3. Click the Orbee icon to open the console in the side panel. 4. Browse the site. Events and page details appear as they happen. If the page was already open, reload it so the console can see everything from the start. Some views (property names, customer profiles, rules and plugin configuration) need an Orbee API key. Add yours in Settings; there's a link there to create one in the Orbee platform. SETTINGS • API key: add, change or remove your Orbee API key • Lock to tab: keep the console tied to the tab you opened it from • Side panel or pop-out window: use whichever fits how you work • Reset: clear the stored API key, settings and collected event data in one step PERMISSIONS AND PRIVACY The console needs access to the pages you visit so it can detect Orbee scripts and the events they send. Here is why each permission is requested: • Read and change site data on all websites: to find Orbee scripts on any page you open, capture the events they send, and run Script Injection when you ask it to • Web requests and navigation: to see the Orbee requests a page makes and start fresh when you move to a new page • Cookies: to read the Orbee visitor and script cookies that identify the visitor and script on the page • Tabs and side panel: to show the console beside the page you're inspecting and follow the active tab • Storage: to keep your API key, settings and collected events in your browser Collected events, your API key and settings stay in your browser's local storage until you reset them. The console contacts Orbee services to look up account, property and customer profile details for the scripts it finds. It also sends anonymous usage and error diagnostics about the console itself so we can improve it.
