Overview
Listens to the current page's article, or any selected text.
Orateur turns any page into an audio reading. Listen right on the page Right-click → "Read this page". Orateur extracts the article from the rest of the page — menus, ads, sidebars — and reads it aloud. A small floating widget appears at the bottom of the screen to pause, adjust speed, or change voice. Nothing leaves your browser. Two voices, your choice Your system's voice, available instantly, nothing to download. This is the default. Supertonic, a much more natural neural voice that runs entirely on your machine. If you enable it, the extension downloads its models once (about 400 MB) and then works offline. Expect a few minutes for that first download. Send to Orateur One click on the icon sends the page's article to the Orateur web app, so you can listen to it, resume later, or queue it up. Select text anywhere and a bubble appears: one click sends the selection to Orateur. The same action is also available from the context menu as "Read with Orateur". Privacy No account, no tracking, no data collected. Text you listen to on the page never leaves your machine. Nothing is sent to Orateur unless you click to request it.
