OptyStack Now helps IT and security teams discover SaaS applications in use across their organization. It identifies shadow IT, improves SaaS governance, and gives administrators visibility into real-world software adoption — without compromising employee privacy. This extension is designed exclusively for organizations enrolled in OptyStack as part of a structured SaaS discovery and management program. It is installed or approved by IT administrators and runs passively in the background. HOW IT WORKS OptyStack Now observes only the hostname of top-level browser navigations and aggregates domain-level usage signals locally in the browser. These aggregated signals are securely synchronized with your organization's OptyStack account at regular intervals. The extension does not modify websites or interfere with browsing activity in any way. PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED Website access — Required to detect the hostname of top-level navigations for domain-level SaaS discovery. The extension does not read page content, access personal data, or monitor browsing behavior beyond identifying the domain being visited. Identity (Google account email) — Used solely to associate browser activity with your organization's employee directory in OptyStack. This allows administrators to understand SaaS adoption at the team level. Your email is matched against your organization's known employee list and is never shared with third parties or used for any other purpose. Both permissions are used strictly for organizational SaaS discovery and governance. No personal data leaves your organization's OptyStack account. BUILT FOR ORGANIZATIONS OptyStack Now is intended for organizations using OptyStack for SaaS management. It is typically deployed by IT administrators across managed devices as part of an organization-wide SaaS discovery program. Individual employees do not need to configure or interact with the extension. Once enrolled by an administrator, it runs silently in the background.
