WHAT OPTYSTACK NOW DOES OptyStack Now enables organizations to discover SaaS applications in use across their workforce. The extension provides IT and security teams with domain-level visibility into SaaS usage, helping identify shadow IT and improve governance. This extension is designed for organizations that use OptyStack as part of a structured SaaS discovery and management program. HOW IT WORKS • Observes only the hostname of top-level navigations • Aggregates domain-level usage signals locally in the browser • Securely synchronizes aggregated signals with your organization’s OptyStack account • SaaS classification and analysis are performed server-side • Runs passively in the background after administrator enrollment The extension does not modify websites or interfere with browsing activity. PRIVACY-FIRST BY DESIGN OptyStack Now is built with strict privacy principles: • Does NOT collect page content • Does NOT collect keystrokes or form inputs • Does NOT capture passwords or credentials • Does NOT access personal messages or emails • Does NOT store full URLs or query parameters • Does NOT collect browsing history • Does NOT inject scripts into websites • Does NOT sell or share data with third parties Only aggregated domain-level SaaS signals are processed. WHY WEBSITE ACCESS IS REQUIRED OptyStack Now requires access to website URLs in order to detect domain-level SaaS usage across the organization. The extension does not read page content, access personal data, or monitor browsing behavior beyond identifying the hostname of top-level navigations. This access is used strictly for organizational SaaS discovery and governance. BUILT FOR ORGANIZATIONS This extension is intended for organizations using OptyStack. It is typically installed or approved by IT administrators as part of an organization-wide SaaS discovery program. Once enrolled, it runs in the background and does not require user interaction.
