OpenTranslator
Overview
Translate text with OpenTranslator in your browser side panel
OpenTranslator is a tool that provides text translation within the Chrome sidebar. Users enter or paste text in the sidebar, and the extension calls the translation service under their OpenTranslator account, returning the translation in real time via streaming. Why users should install it: No need to switch pages: The translation box stays in the sidebar, so you can translate while browsing without switching back and forth between tabs or opening a new website. Streaming output: The translation appears word by word as it progresses, so you don't have to wait for the entire result. Two translation quality options: "Efficient" mode prioritizes speed, while "Rigorous" mode prioritizes accuracy, so users can switch based on the scenario. Unified account: You can log in directly within the extension using your email and password, or log in on the website with your email or Google account and have your login status automatically synced, with no need to re-enter credentials. Transparent usage-based billing: The settings page displays your account balance in real time. When the balance is insufficient, you can jump to the official website to top up with one click. Charges are deducted only based on actual translation usage. Clear privacy boundaries: The extension does not read the content of the webpages you are browsing. Only text you actively enter or paste is sent to the OpenTranslator service for processing. Login credentials are stored locally and are not synced to other devices.
