OpenSub Overlay

Capture, translate, batch, pair, and overlay subtitles across websites with private local processing and dual subtitle export.

This is an extension I made to help with my own language learning as I tried several other similar dual subtitle extensions and they either did not work well or were far too convoluted for no apparent reason. This extension utilizes Google Translate to convert subtitles either by downloading and translating most types of subtitle files or by converting them on the fly as they are generated. It should work across multiple streaming services and video platforms. Useful features include text scaling, dual or single subtitle mode and the ability to cache translated subtitles and pull back up videos you have already translated through your own open subtitle library. You can even use this extension to make dual subtitle files to download and use with videos outside of google chrome. For a full readme, or if you find any issues with a specific website, please check my github page. to report issues load the subtitles on a video and attempt to run this extension, then if it fails click the troubleshooting dropdown at the bottom of the extension and click download subtitle debug dump.
