OpenRang for Gmail

Private, local-first Gmail snooze and follow-up reminders. No tracking or subscriptions.

Your inbox. On your terms. OpenRang is a free extension for Gmail. Snooze emails and bring them back when you need them. Follow up only if nobody replies. Rang a conversation to remove it from Inbox and return it at a chosen time. The original email stays in All Mail. Change the return time or cancel and restore it from OpenRang settings. Choose “if no reply” to cancel the return if OpenRang finds a qualifying reply when the Rang is due. Add a private note to give your future self some context. Reminders are inserted directly into your own mailbox, not sent to anyone else in the conversation. Use “Return to Inbox” beside Gmail's Send button to schedule a follow-up. Your normal Send and Undo Send remain available. OpenRang waits for Gmail to confirm the sent message before activating the Rang. Optional Inbox hiding lets you compose, search and manage your mail without incoming messages distracting you. You control whether Gmail starts with the Inbox hidden. A local daily count tracks deliberate Inbox reveals. Connect the Gmail inbox you want to use. It does not have to be the Chrome profile's primary account. Private by design. Reminder schedules, account identifiers, subjects, message identifiers, private notes, Inbox hiding preferences and the daily reveal count stay in this Chrome profile. Gmail access goes directly through Google's APIs. No subscription, analytics, advertising or developer-operated mailbox server. IMPORTANT: Chrome must be running and online for Rangs to trigger. Missed Rangs catch up after Chrome resumes or reconnects. Before disabling or uninstalling OpenRang, cancel and restore pending snoozed Rangs. Uninstalling removes the local schedule, but your original email remains in All Mail. English Gmail is the initial target. Native Gmail Schedule send is not supported for before-send Rangs.
