Overview

Filter your YouTube feed with an AI model that runs on your computer. Free, private, and offline after one download.

OpenDecider Focus hides the YouTube videos you don't want, using an AI model that runs on your computer. Nothing you watch is sent anywhere. WHAT IT DOES • Hide the kinds of video you choose. The Focus preset keeps learning, news and how-tos, and hides music, gaming, comedy, celebrity and TV clips, and vlogs. Tick any of 11 kinds. • Write your own rule in plain words: "Hide videos about crypto, celebrity gossip", or "Show only videos about cooking". • Hide Shorts with one switch. • One slider moves the line between showing more and hiding more. • Check any text for prompt injection: select it on any page, right-click, and choose "Check with OpenDecider guard". It filters YouTube's home page, search results and the list beside a video. New videos stay hidden until they are judged, so nothing flashes past, and if anything goes wrong the video is shown. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • The model, opendecider-nano, runs in your browser: on your GPU with WebGPU, or on your CPU. • Nothing is downloaded until you press "Download the model" (755 MiB with a GPU, 569 MiB without). After that it works offline. • The titles it reads and the text you check never leave your computer. No server, no account, no API key, no analytics. • The only network requests are the model's files from Hugging Face, each checked against a SHA-256 pinned in the extension. HOW ACCURATE On 400 YouTube videos, with rules a viewer would write ("hide music", "hide gaming", "only news"), it scores 0.934 balanced accuracy, within a point of TypeSafe's Jev in the cloud (0.940) and ahead of every Laya checkpoint (0.870 at best). The full benchmark, and where it falls short, is in the guide. OPEN SOURCE Apache-2.0.
