Overview
Adds busy times from Outlook on the web to your OpenCal link. Only start and end times leave your browser.
OpenCal Sync adds busy times from Outlook on the web to your OpenCal link. Use it for an Outlook calendar that OpenCal cannot connect to with Microsoft sign-in, such as a work calendar in an organization that blocks outside apps. How it works: 1. In OpenCal Settings, under "Other calendars", click "Make a code" and copy the code. 2. Click the OpenCal Sync icon, paste the code and click Save. The popup shows the link that belongs to the code. 3. Open your calendar in Outlook on the web and click "Sync now". Auto-sync is on by default. Every 15 minutes while the browser is open, it syncs from an Outlook tab that is already open. It never opens a tab by itself. "Sync now" opens Outlook in a background tab when no Outlook tab is open, reads the calendar and closes the tab. What it reads and sends: - The extension reads your calendar in Outlook on the web in your signed-in browser. It never asks for your Microsoft password or signs in to anything. - The extension reads busy times for the next 21 days. It skips events marked free or working elsewhere, canceled events and events you declined. Tentative events count as busy. - The extension sends only the start and end time of each busy event to https://opencal.link with your sync code. Titles, people, places and notes stay in your browser. - The extension sends nothing to anyone else, does not sell the data and does not use it for ads. The extension is free.
