Open GitHub File in Cursor IDE

)Overview
Open GitHub files in Cursor IDE from the GitHub blob page menu.
Open GitHub File in Cursor IDE adds an "Open <name> file in Cursor" item to the file menus on github.com blob pages so you can jump straight from a file you're reading on GitHub to that exact file (and line) in your local Cursor IDE. How it works - Configure one or more local "projects roots" on the options page (e.g. a display name "WebstormProjects" with the absolute path "/Users/me/WebstormProjects"). - On any github.com/<user>/<repo>/blob/<branch>/<path> page, the extension injects an extra item into both the "Open with..." menu and the highlighted-line context menu for each configured root. - Clicking the item opens the matching local file in Cursor via Cursor's cursor:// protocol handler. If the URL hash points to a line (#L60), the file opens at that line. - Optional "Project window" toggle: first sends a folder URL so Cursor focuses (or creates) a window for that workspace, then sends the file URL — useful if you have several Cursor windows open and want the file to land in the right project. Privacy - The extension does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. - All settings (your folder roots) are stored locally via chrome.storage.sync and never leave your Google account's sync storage. - The extension only runs on https://github.com/* and only reads the URL of the active GitHub tab to build the cursor:// link.
