This extension does one thing and does it well: it applies a clean, customizable dark mode to any website you visit—and yes, it works perfectly with complex pages like Google Docs, saving your eyes during late-night work sessions. Zero ads, zero subscriptions, just clean community-driven code. How it works (and what to keep in mind): The extension relies on a simple, CPU-light trick. Instead of injecting hundreds of lines of complex code into the page, it applies a global CSS filter (filter: invert). It works exactly like a photographic negative—the white background of the page becomes dark, and the black text inverts to light (media and images are protected by a secondary filter so they look natural). Important note—conflicts with other dark modes: Because this extension mathematically inverts the colors currently displayed on your screen, you must use it on the standard, default light theme of the websites you visit (including Google Docs). If a website already has a native dark mode turned on, or if you use another darkening extension (like Dark Reader), our tool will invert those dark colors back to bright (or generate a strange color palette). To avoid this "double negative" effect, simply ensure that native dark themes or other dark mode tools are disabled on the pages where you use this extension.
