Neck Upgrade: A Chrome Extension for Healthier Neck Habits Neck Upgrade is a Chrome new-tab extension that combines neck-movement reminders, calendar information, and daily learning content. Controlled page tilts and page wobble encourage you to change your viewing posture, while history, poetry, English, Chinese fundamentals, and trending information accompany every new tab. Note: This extension is for everyday posture reminders and light training assistance. It is not a medical device and does not replace professional diagnosis or treatment. If you feel dizzy, uncomfortable, or in pain, turn off rotation immediately and consult a qualified professional. Choose Wikipedia or Baidu Baike as the preferred source. Wikipedia requests the current interface language and falls back to English and then Chinese when needed. ✔️ English: delivers daily learning items from a high-frequency vocabulary list. When online, it shows phonetics, pronunciation, part of speech, and definitions. Progress is stored locally. ✔️ Chinese fundamentals: browse All, Idioms, Characters, Xiehouyu, and Words. Xiehouyu and Words show four entries at a time. ✔️ Trending: aggregates popular content from multiple platforms. Content refreshes about every five minutes; some sources may be affected by sign-in status, network conditions, or site changes. ✔️ Quotes: randomly displays quotes from a local content pool; Reading mode emphasizes this area. Search ✔️ The search entry is to the left of Settings and supports substring and character-order fuzzy matching ✔️ Built-in data: poetry, Chinese fundamentals, and English vocabulary ✔️ History: locally stored poetry, English, and Chinese-fundamentals learning records ✔️ Results are separated into Built-in Data and History tabs Languages and interface ✔️ Supports multiple languages ✔️ Click the main language button to cycle through languages in a fixed order, or use the dropdown to select a language directly Data and privacy ✔️ Settings, learning progress, domain rules, and content cache are stored locally in the current browser ✔️ The extension has no account system and does not upload this local data to project-owned servers ✔️ History, calendar, dictionary, quotes, and trending features access relevant public third-party services when needed.
