Control the playback speed on YouTube and X (Twitter) with a one-click toggle and a configurable default speed.

OneTap Speed lets you control the playback speed of YouTube and X (Twitter) videos with a single click — no popups, no menus, no friction. Click the toolbar icon to turn it on, and every video plays at your chosen speed. Click again to go back to normal (1.0x). A small badge on the icon always shows your current speed at a glance. FEATURES • One-click toggle — enable or disable straight from the toolbar icon. • Works on YouTube and X (Twitter), including the X feed where several videos play. • Set your default speed from 0.25x to 3x, in 0.25 steps. • Handy presets: Normal, 1.25x, 1.5x, 2x and 3x. • Speed badge on the icon shows the active rate (e.g. "1.5x"). • Your setting syncs across every device signed in to the same Chrome account. • Reliable on both sites: it re-applies your speed when you navigate between videos and when videos load in. PRIVACY OneTap Speed collects no data and sends nothing anywhere. Your speed setting is stored locally and synced through your own Chrome account. It only runs on youtube.com and x.com. HOW TO USE 1. Click the OneTap Speed icon to turn it on (the badge shows your speed). 2. Play any video on YouTube or X — it plays at your speed. 3. Open Options (right-click the icon → Options) to set your default speed. 4. Click the icon again anytime to return to normal speed.
