Overview

Select any part of a webpage and turn it into a beautiful, shareable quote card.

Screenshots deserve a library. Highlight the interesting parts of the web, turn them into beautiful cards worth sharing, and find any quote again, even when you've forgotten where you read it. Select any part of a webpage and OneShot Redux turns it into a polished quote card: a torn-paper clipping with hand-drawn marker highlights, the article's headline, site, publish date and icon on top, a background that picks up the publisher's colors, and a QR code back to the source. HOW IT WORKS • Click the toolbar icon or press Ctrl+Shift+1 (⌘⇧1 on Mac), then drag over any text. • Click or drag across words to highlight them with a marker. Drag in empty space to highlight freely. • Copy the card or download it as a PNG, ready for LinkedIn, X, Slack or a slide. • Quick copy: press Enter while selecting and the finished card goes straight to your clipboard. MAKE IT YOURS • Auto color picks up the site's own brand color, or choose from a curated palette or any exact color. • Textures: grain, dots, grid, binary or circuit. • Trim to content, torn or clean edges, QR code on or off, editable headline and site name. YOUR LIBRARY • Every card you copy or download is saved with its text. • Search by any words you remember from the quote, the headline or the site. • Reopen a card to keep editing, copy it again, or jump back to the source. • Export everything as a zip of images plus a spreadsheet of quotes and sources. • Turn saving off or keep only your newest cards whenever you like. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Everything runs on your computer. Nothing is uploaded, no account, no tracking. • The extension only touches a page when you start a capture, so it doesn't ask to read all your browsing. • Free and open source (MIT): https://github.com/sub8u/oneshot-redux Inspired by OneShot (2015) by Jason Goldman and Ian Ownbey, designed by Daniel Zarick.
