Overview

Inspect a page's meta tags, headings, images, links, social tags, and structured data in one click.

On-Page SEO Inspector — Check Any Page's SEO in One Click Tired of juggling browser consoles, online tools, and Chrome DevTools just to check a few meta tags? On-Page SEO Inspector shows you everything search engines see on any web page — titles, descriptions, headings, images, links, social tags, structured data, readability, and even the tech stack — all inside a single popup. Click the icon, get your answers, and move on. No account needed. No data leaves your browser. Nothing runs in the background. Just fast, clean, on-page SEO analysis whenever you need it. EIGHT TABS, ZERO CLUTTER Every piece of information lives in a clearly labeled tab. You never have to scroll through a wall of data to find what you need. General — Meta Tags and Page Basics This is your starting point. It answers the questions you ask most often about any page. You will see the title tag with its character count. Titles shorter than 15 characters or longer than 60 characters get flagged right away so you know if Google might cut yours off in search results. The meta description works the same way — you see the full text, the character count, and a warning if it falls outside the 50 to 160 character sweet spot. The canonical URL is displayed in full so you can confirm it points where it should. This matters a lot on sites with filters, pagination, or content that appears at multiple URLs. You will also see the robots directive, meta keywords (if present), viewport tag, character encoding, and the HTML language attribute. Each item has a colored dot next to it — green means good, orange means worth checking, red means something is missing or wrong. H1 count is called out specifically because it trips up so many pages. Best practice is exactly one H1. If a page has zero or more than one, you will see a warning explaining why. Word count gives you a quick read on content depth. Thin pages with very few words often struggle to rank for anything competitive. If the page uses hreflang tags for international targeting, every language code and its URL are listed here too. Headings — Your Content Outline at a Glance Search engines and screen readers both rely on heading tags to understand page structure. This tab shows you two things. First, a quick count of every heading level from H1 through H6. You can spot problems instantly — like a page heavy on H2s but missing H3s, or one that accidentally uses multiple H1 tags. Second, every heading is listed in the order it appears on the page with its tag level and full text. Click any heading and the extension scrolls to it on the actual page and highlights it with a green outline. This is a huge time saver on long pages. Use the filter bar to search by heading text or level. Images — Find Missing Alt Text Fast Missing alt text is one of the most common SEO mistakes, and it hurts accessibility too. A stat row at the top shows total images, how many have alt text, and how many do not. Below that, every image is listed with a thumbnail, its alt text (or a warning if none exists), its dimensions, and its source URL. You can scan the list in seconds and spot images with empty or missing alt attributes. The filter bar lets you narrow results by alt text or filename. Links — See Every Link on the Page Good internal linking helps search engines crawl your site and pass authority between pages. This tab breaks it all down. Four stat boxes show total links, internal links, external links, and nofollow links. Below them, every link is listed with its anchor text, destination URL, an internal or external badge, and any rel attributes. The filter bar lets you search by anchor text, URL, or attribute. Social — Open Graph and Twitter Cards When someone shares your page on social platforms, those platforms pull the title, description, and image from Open Graph and Twitter Card meta tags. If those tags are missing or wrong, your shared links look broken. This tab shows every standard Open Graph and Twitter Card tag with status indicators for missing values. If an og:image exists, a visual preview loads right in the popup. Schema — Structured Data Check Structured data unlocks rich results in Google — star ratings, FAQ dropdowns, recipe cards, product prices, and more. This tab detects JSON-LD blocks and lists every schema type found. It also counts microdata items for sites using the older format. You can quickly confirm that the right types are present for your page. Content — Readability and Keyword Density Good SEO content is easy to read and naturally uses the right words. This tab gives you a quick quality check. Word count, sentence count, and paragraph count are shown alongside the Flesch Reading Ease score — a well-known readability metric. The extension translates the number into plain language like "Standard" or "Fairly Difficult" so you know where you stand without looking up a chart. Below readability, a keyword density section shows the most frequently used meaningful words on the page with a visual bar, a raw count, and a percentage. Tech — What Powers the Page Knowing what technologies a page runs on is useful for competitive research and debugging. The Tech tab scans scripts, meta tags, and page patterns to identify the CMS or platform, JavaScript frameworks, analytics and tracking tools, and other commonly used web technologies. Each detected technology appears as a labeled badge grouped by category. THE SCORE RING A small ring in the header shows how many of 16 SEO checks the page passes. Green means 75 percent or more, orange means 50 to 74 percent, red means below 50. The checks cover the essentials: title and description exist and are the right length, canonical and viewport are set, language is declared, exactly one H1 exists, Open Graph and Twitter Card tags are present, all images have alt text, structured data is found, readability is reasonable, and the page has enough content. FILTER AND HIGHLIGHT Five tabs include a filter bar. Type anything to narrow long lists instantly. In the Headings tab, clicking a heading scrolls to it on the page and outlines it in green. DARK MODE Click the theme icon in the header to switch between light and dark. It follows your system preference by default and remembers your choice. EXPORT — COPY, CSV, OR JSON Copy puts a clean text report on your clipboard. CSV downloads a spreadsheet-ready file. JSON downloads the raw data for developers who want to process it further. PRIVACY AND PERFORMANCE No background scripts. Nothing runs until you click the icon. Minimal permissions. Only activeTab, scripting, and clipboardWrite. It cannot see your history or other tabs. No data collection. Zero analytics, zero tracking, zero server calls. Everything runs locally. No account, no login, no subscription. Every feature is free. The entire extension is under 20 KB. WHO SHOULD USE THIS SEO professionals who audit pages daily and need quick answers without a full crawler. Content writers who want to check titles, descriptions, headings, and readability before publishing. Web developers who need to verify meta tags, social tags, structured data, and hreflang are working. Digital marketers who want to understand how competitor pages are structured. Business owners who want a simple way to check whether their website covers the SEO basics. WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES NOT DO It inspects one page at a time. It does not crawl websites, track rankings, analyze backlinks, or run speed tests. For broader analysis, pair it with your preferred SEO platform — the CSV and JSON exports make it easy to move data into other tools. HOW TO GET STARTED Install the extension. Pin it to your toolbar. Click the icon on any web page. No setup, no configuration, no learning curve. Click, inspect, export, done.
