Omnesis Browser Capture

Pairs to your Omnesis gateway and captures the web pages you read into your private index.

Omnesis Browser Capture adds the readable web pages you choose to browse to your private Omnesis index. Pair the extension with an HTTPS Omnesis gateway, enter the name shown in Chrome's profile menu, grant Chrome access to HTTPS pages, and browse normally. After a page remains focused long enough to count as a visit, the extension extracts readable Markdown, its title and normalized URL, then sends them directly to the paired gateway. It also records the visit time, focused dwell duration, stable paired-browser device ID, and the profile name you entered so visits remain attributable across Chrome profiles; one-per-URL page metadata names the profile whose capture most recently changed that snapshot. Pages in private windows, sign-in and payment pages, and pages on domains you exclude are never captured. Exclusions and the capture pause are stored on your gateway and shared by every browser paired with it; you can unpair at any time. The extension stores its scoped pairing credential, a copy of the gateway's capture settings and a bounded retry queue in Chrome local extension storage. It has no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDK. Browsing data goes only to the gateway the user deliberately selects; if that gateway is operated by the developer, the developer receives the data as its operator. Its gateway token is limited to `write:web`; it cannot read the user's Omnesis corpus. An Omnesis gateway with a browser-trusted HTTPS certificate is required.
