Open YouTube Shorts in the regular watch player with one click.

Open YouTube Shorts in the regular watch player without any extra clicks, no copy/paste, no new tabs. Open Short adds a small button to the action rail on every YouTube Shorts page (above the Like button). Click it and the same video opens in YouTube's standard watch player in the same tab, with all the normal playback controls: seekable timeline, playback speed, theatre mode, mini-player, captions, and quality settings. Features • One-click switch from Shorts to the regular player. • Same tab, no new windows or pop-ups. • Works automatically on every short you visit. • Tiny footprint: no settings, no popup, no background tab activity beyond a single install ping. • Privacy-friendly: the extension only runs on youtube.com/shorts/* URLs and asks for no other permissions. Why? Shorts is great for discovery but the player strips out the timeline, speed control, and quality settings you get on a regular watch page. Open Short bridges the two: keep scrolling Shorts, and when you find something you actually want to watch properly, switch to the full player in one click. How it works The button appears at the top of the right-side action rail (above the Like, Dislike, Comment, Share, and Remix buttons). Clicking it rewrites the page URL from `youtube.com/shorts/{id}` to `youtube.com/watch?v={id}` and reloads in the same tab. What we don't do • No tracking of what you watch. • No analytics on your browsing. • No reading or modifying any page other than YouTube Shorts. • No account, no login, no sign-up.
